A Strine moment from yesterday's Herald.  At a function in Glasgow, where a lawyer called Mike got an award, one of the audience turned to his Australian girl friend and said, "You'd get on well with Mike's wife."  She was shocked. "Why do you think I'd get on with your ex-wife?".
