My Sunday newspaper carries the dreadful news that, following on from the execution of the Golly in 2002, the manufacturers of Golden Shred marmalade, Messrs Jas. Robertson,  have been told to cease its production as it is too much like one of Hartley's conserves - is nothing of my youth sacrosanct any more?
