Re Hartleys v Golden Shred - what a load of rubbish these people dream up !  One preserve tastes (I assume) a bit like another ? I'll buy that, but so what ?  For Robertson's Golden Shred I'll say memories of it go back to my childhood in the late 30s early 40s. I used to hate it - marmalade (and tea and coffee) was a taste I was long in acquiring.  Hartleys, as far as my experience goes, are new kids on the block. It reminds me of when McDonalds of burger fame tried to sue a Scottish shop for calling themselves McDonalds, that being the proprietor's name.
