G'day Folks,

http://tinyurl.com/y9e6d4po <http://tinyurl.com/y9e6d4po>

I have just reduced the size of Dash Cam video from my car so that it can be sent in an email.

We were returning home from a list to Northern New South Wales and were out in the bush when my wife hit this dead roo.

It had been there for a while and was ‘plump’.

You now know that a dead roo is coming up in the video. From the time that you see the roo to the time that she hit it is 4 seconds.

She has just driven up an incline and reached the tops the incline to see a bend to the right with a solid double white line, over which she cannot travel.

She reached the dilemma that I have drummed into her for many years. If you see a dead roo on the road and you can’t drive to the side it - just go over it - and then stop to see if there is any damage to the vehicle - radiate and such.

You might say that she could have gone around the dead roo on the left of it.

This is where a lot of people get themselves killed - they go around the left hand side and then realise that they have to pull the wheel to the right in order to keep on the road. If their left wheels are off in the rough that is when the vehicle will swerve and then roll over.

You could also have driven over the white line and met a heavy truck coming the other way - you would then have to take evading action! What if you has lost control of the vehicle?

Luckily Helma always - well nearly always - listens to what I have told her!

Try the test yourself see how long it really is, before you see the roo - in order to take action - and you know that it is there. Helma didn’t until she saw it!
