Inverclyde Council are also very interested in bringing the QE2 to the Clyde, but to Greenock.  Neither Council has spare funds, and I'm not sure what wheels are whirring round in private.  Greenock/Inverclyde touted using the Inchgreen Drydock, which still has the notch which was cut out to allow the overhang of the QE2 bow when she was lodged there after launch.  But the multi-billionaire presently spending lots on a regeneration of the Ferguson shipyard in Port Glasgow talked of using the drydock for his purposes.  We await developments.
