[BITList] The British Channel

Watching a documentary about the WW2 role of 541 Squadron, RAF Reserve, on TV the other day, I was struck by how correct were the descriptions of UK areas shown therein, which is not par for the course in such films.  Evidently they were working to instructions, for when it came time to mention the Channel, it was the British Channel.
