My pal Alex, used to be a keen golfer, found himself trapped one day at home amid a bunch of ladies his wife had asked to tea. For some reason his bag of clubs was by him.  Eventually the chatter and shrieks of laughter got to him - he stood up, hoisted the bag, and the room fell silent - all eyes and ears were on him.  "I think I'll go and wash my balls," he heard himself saying.
