My only coaling experience was on "Garbeta", taking the stuff to Rangoon  from Calcutta, and if memory serves bringing rice back. The coal was loaded, as reported, by gangway boards and seemingly by hundreds of women with the cargo carried on their heads.Fascinating to watch, particularly as some were very attractive, albeit covered in coal dust. The C/O obviously thought so too, for by some means or the other he got one into his personal shower and our imagination must take over from that. I won't divulge his name but he was quite senior. This was 1955.  I was 2/O at the time and witnessed everything until she entered his cabin-suite. Ron
