Mike,
So there was nothing in the openings for the bulkhead cable glands but cables, and in other ships of the same series? Who gets paid for building these things? The other day I was reading in one of my diaries about my trials and tribulations while with Scotts in Greenock on the design of URV Newton. Among these were arguments with top brass about cable glands. Every gland was correctly placed and fitted. Why? Because that's the way ships are supposed to be built.
