on that account I get 3.5% but my deposit account I locked in for 3 
years at 5% as I figured it would be at least that long before things 
straightened up again if then. That rate of yours is almost negative the 
banks have a cheek don't know about yours but ours are charging 18.5%+ 
on credit card interest so wheres the sense, the bit that really burns 
me mostly is that the government had a nationalised bank which had been 
established to keep the banks honest (well as much as you can keep that 
bunch of thieves honest) last century and the labour party in their  
stupidity to make a quick dollar and bank up their pension funds 
privatised it it is now the biggest bank here and making a fortune for 
the private sector
