Mike, Frank, John,
I'd no idea the Yorkshire pudding was so versatile. Is there a standard perhaps? Up here we see them in all sizes, all equally good to eat.
On threads and spanners, when I was 2E/O on GTV Morar of unhallowed memory, we had a lot of nuts to various standards in barely accessible places. To get at them it was necessary to choose a socket - one that looked as if it might by the one - stick it onto an extension, repeat as necessary, and apply a ratchet to the end. Then one fished until the socket became engaged on the nut. Sometimes it was the right socket.
Hugh.
