G'day folks,

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/education/educationnews/10218870/Lessons-in-spelling-have-no-place-in-21st-century-schools.html

In my life time the Americans have introduced into Australian English, the word 'regular' to mean 'normal', when regular is related to 'time'.

They have also introduced the removal of the English form of speech, which demands that the sound of the word 'the' is to be spoken as 'thee' when followed by a word beginning with a vowel.

Thus we now have "thuh angel", "thuh apple", "thuh insect", "thuh Uncle" and "thuh elephant".

To me, none of it is normal.
