No, surprise here.  It always was the intention of the rich to get richer by bending politicians to their will, and as can be seen, they are having great success.
We will see whether or not US voters will elect Romney whose avowed intention is to ignore 47% of the population, while he is worth $250 million, buys and exploits US companies then has the Chinese do the work cheaper, while he avoids paying taxes on his millions by using tax shelters in Switzerland, Cayman Islands and Luxembourg............................
However, many have no objection to this rape of US workers and jobs and have no thought for folks worse of than themselves............it’s capitalism at it’s finest and they just love it.

In this article it states that the richest 1% more than doubled between 1980 and 2008, from 8% to 18%.  They make an average US$ 1.3M after tax, while the poorest  20% take home US$ 17,700 !
