G'day folks,

We leave this afternoon (Thursday) at 1530 hrs for Northern New South Wales.

Helma, myself, our eldest daughter (Marijke) and our youngest (Joanne). All in one car. Wendy (Middle daughter) is meeting her husband down on the Gold Coast and will attend by themselves.

An 8 hour drive to Rockhampton where we have booked a motel. 722 km (448Miles).

We leave early in the morning for Dorroughby 834 Km, 518 Miles.so that we get some face time with the family on Friday afternoon.

The funeral is at 11.00 am. on Saturday. Peter is being cremated, so after we will go to the wake in Dunoon and leave for home sometime after that. We will travel home by a different route.

The route home is not fixed yet, it depends on what sort of road works we come across on the way down.

We hope to get to Roma 650 Km f404 Miles, for a sleep and then a long run home to T'ville 1,113 Km  691 Miles. on Sunday.

A round trip of around 3322 Km or 2,000 miles

Helma and I will go down again to stay with Barbara after all the folks have gone back to their homes. It will probably be after Christmas or before the New Year.

It is a sad time. They are great friends of ours.
