                Seven shot this weekend in New Orleans; one dead

                Seven people were shot in a 24-hour span this weekend across New Orleans, with one person dying from his injuries. The gunfire occurred between Saturday night and Sunday evening, according to police logs released Monday by the New Orleans Police Department. 


                Three of the shootings, including the murder, occurred in the Mid-City area, and two of those were within blocks of each other.
