It's all damned lies and more damned lies, while the hangers-on dance to the psychopaths' tune.  Slightly mixed metaphors, but there you are.  The only newspaper my wife reads is our local one, mainly to check on who's born, married or died, which is just as well, for it carries little news, being a shadow of its former self. Its saving grace is that it is strictly neutral in politics.  Now and then I try to show her how to tell a decent newspaper from another by looking at the main headline, and one such case arose yesterday.  There was a banner headline on one rag, something like: CITIZENS DENIED TREATMENT WHILE IMMIGRANTS FLOOD IN.  I explained, but we were rushing for a bus lest more immigrants flood in and take all the seats. The illiterate and semi-literate will have taken from that headline exactly what the paper's proprietors meant them to take, based on a campaign of misinformation, ie: them Muslim imigrants (probaly ilegal), get £200,000 a year and two cars and a big house before me and here's me living in a slum and all them blakies is everwhere and hunreds of decent white people are dying in the streets becos all them imigrants are goin to the hed of the qeuueue in every hospital so what is the goverment doing about it nothin thats what there doing nothin.  Barefaced bullshit, fomenting trouble in pursuit of power.
