last winter was miserable in fremantle at one stage the temp dropped to 
zero and we sat around with heating on and blankets on our knees didn't 
last long granted but when one is used to a diet of 17 ~ 27 the 
difference is felt, we have had the hail stone syndrome a couple of 
times in the last few years though, must have been a bit of a shock 
though for you all down in the Gulf. we have just had a run of nearly 60 
days of 30°C + so we are all heartily sick of hot weather for a while
