For me its remembering how to print the degree sign ° which is done
by typing 0176 on the number pad whilst holding the alt key down
frank

For me 2 + @, 3 = #, 4 = $ and I can change to the Pound sign if I want
but I forget how, as I rarely use it and when I do need to use it it is
quicker to type Pound. I had the same trouble In England Hugh trying to
find the @ on a Pommie key board.

My 3 Key is also the £. My 4 Key is also the $ and also the EUR. If
you press Ctrl and Alt together. After L key is ; and : followed by
' and @ followed by #. I thought that we were all the same, unless
you changed your keyboard into a different language such as Spanish
    which I do sometimes.

the keyboard # hash sign is called the 'pound' sign in the
    colonies...............

frequently found on the shift '3' key.

regrettably, I don't have a UKpound [money] key on my keyboard --
    only $.

    John,

Oh, no it isn't (panto season), at least in general. On my present
keyboard it's on the key below F11. The @ is the 2nd key along from
L - in MaltaI took ages to find it on the hotel's keyboards. Why no
    standardisation?

When I read about maritime disasters involving big vessels such as
Fedra, most often it's that old standby (pun), "engine failure".
Engines fail nowadays with alarming (another pun) regularity.

    Hugh.
