[BITList] Hash sign on shift 3

the keyboard # hash sign is called the ‘pound’ sign in the colonies...............
frequently found on the shift ‘3’ key.
regrettably, I don’t have a UK pound [money] key on my keyboard – only $.

Oh, no it isn't (panto season), at least in general. On my present keyboard it's on the key below F11. The @ is the 2nd key along from L - in Malta I took ages to find it on the hotel's keyboards. Why no standardisation?

When I read about maritime disasters involving big vessels such as Fedra, most often it's that old standby (pun), "engine failure".  Engines fail nowadays with alarming (another pun) regularity.
