"This speaks to a bigger picture here that certainly scares me in terms of our national security policy," . Thinks – how is it possible to speak to a bigger picture ?
although, if she doesn’t know north from south, it may be possible! [wink, wink]

NEW YORK: Former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin did it again. Her latest gaffe: "But obviously we've gotta stand with our North Korean allies."

She made the remark Wednesday on Glenn Beck's radio show when she was asked how she'd handle the recent escalation between the South and North Korea, New York Daily News reported Thursday.

"This speaks to a bigger picture here that certainly scares me in terms of our national security policy," said Palin.

"But obviously we've gotta stand with our North Korean allies."

Beck, the host, corrected her: "South Korea."

Palin then responded: "Eh, yeah. And we're also bound by prudence to stand with our South Korean allies, yes."

A North Korean artillery bombardment of a South Korean island near the two countries' maritime border Tuesday left two soldiers and two civilians dead and injured another 18 people.

The former Alaska governor is known for her verbal slip-ups.

She was criticised for using the made-up word "refudiate" in July and only a month after that she used the phrase "cackle of rads".

Palin also has been slammed for her lack of foreign policy knowledge.

Two years back, she said Alaska is "right over the border" from Russia while explaining why her home state's proximity to that country gives her foreign policy experience.
