as long as you are happy with the present system – no problem.
BUT, don’t complain when your family come down with catastrophic illnesses requiring months of intensive care [$30k – $40k PER DAY] and you end up with bills of $2,000,000 – not hard to achieve. if you are lucky, your insurance will pay 40% to 50% – although you thought they are supposed to pay 80% – ha, ha, ha - fooled you.!
of course, you may be one of the few who have a few million in the bank – just in case. if not, bankruptcy and loss of house is what you have to look forward to. didn’t you read below – 62% of personal bankruptcy is due to medical bills.
as for me - I would rather have everyone in the country contribute a few dollars a week to a national health system – then we can get on with our lives [like the rest of the world does] without concern about whether or not we can afford to be ill.
This system is not perfect and some people would be unhappy, however it would provide fundamental care. if people wanted a more deluxe illness, there is always pay-for-care and health insurance outside the national program.
people over 64 in the USA already have a NHS [Medicare]. It costs me $95 per month and $20/visit. I have not heard any complaints about this NHS, yet bloody fools say they don’t want the government in their health care! Eh. they don’t even know who pays for medicare. there are no tea baggers, republicans, et al wanting to opt out and pay for medical services themselves – ever wondered why?
a German friend of mine just returned to Germany because she has cancer. she is now having chemo and hospital stays. I asked her last week what was the cost so far. she said as no bills are presented, she had no idea!
And you don’t like that??????????????????????????????????
allsorts of lies have been put forth about a NHS – however, I don’t see people in countries with a NHS clamoring for a change to privatization.
you have the wrong idea about how the cost of determining medical services goes on. unlike what you might have been told, a government department does not say to doctors – this is you salary, take it or leave it. Sensible and intelligent discussions are carried out and hopefully. agreement reached.
use you head – there is no problem with socialism.
if there was, the happiest countries in the world would not have socialist government.
trouble in the USA – you’ve all been brain washed by politicians and big business to think capitalism is the be all and end all --- it ain’t. The system is grinding to a halt – and the likes of you will suffer the most and not politicians and ceo;s
open your eyes – the middle class is being fucked royally – and you’re all still grinning....................................makes the politicians and their paymasters happy though.

How much should a doctor be paid?
This is the problem with socialism and/or any other political system for determining a person’s value. This is why the market system prevails as prices of exchange are not politically determined.

this clown is in the palin, bechmann, limbaugh, beck mad-hatters mold......................
they create discord, lie and spin because business interests [insurance companies, pharmaceuticals, hospital and clinic businesses.etc.] pay them BIG BUCKS.
The health connected industry in the USA is immense – the world’s biggest and most expensive. $2,26 TRILLION in 2007, $7439 per person.
yet according to wiki at least 15.3% of the population is completely uninsured,[>40,000,000.][1][2][3] and a substantial additional portion of the population (35%) is "underinsured", or not able to cover the costs of their medical needs.[4][5] More money per person is spent on health care in the United States than in any other nation in the world,[6][7] and a greater percentage of total income in the nation is spent on health care in the U.S. than in any United Nations member state except for East Timor.[7] Despite the fact that not all citizens are covered, the United States has the third highest public healthcare expenditure per capita.[8][9] A 2001 study in five states found that medical debt contributed to 62% of all personal bankruptcies.[10] Since then, health costs and the numbers of uninsured and underinsured have increased.[11]
Active debate about health care reform in the United States concerns questions of a right to health care, access, fairness, efficiency, cost, and quality. Many have argued that the system does not deliver equivalent value for the money spent. The US pays twice as much yet lags behind other wealthy nations in such measures as infant mortality and life expectancy, though the relation between these statistics to the system itself is debated. Currently, the U.S. has a higher infant mortality rate than most of the world's industrialized nations.[nb 1][12] The United States life expectancy lags 42nd in the world, after most rich nations, lagging last of the G5 (Japan, France, Germany, UK, USA) and just after Chile (35th) and Cuba (37th).[13][14][15]
despite the above, fools like this one make handsome incomes. Many doctors can make over $million/year, the average income will be >$250k, many executives much, much more.
Of course, with incomes like this, who would want to change the system – certainly not these people – they LOVE it. 46% will leave – yeah.right................................................can’t wait.
But what about the exorbitant costs and inefficiencies to the patients..........................fuck the patients, I’m alright, jack - [and who cares if they go bankrupt anyway?]
that’s what this nutter is really saying.

A view from the US.
46% percent of all physicians will probably leave practice when Obamacare is instituted, if they care about their patients!
This video tells all. See if you can come up with evidence that this is not true!
