do you remember how much the zenith was? according to my Zenith Trans Oceanic Radio book, the equivalent cost 15 years ago was $1750, so I guess they would be $3000 new today............pretty damn expensive!

Talking of Sony 2000, I did have a Sony CRF-150 at one time and a National RF-5000, both very well made, very nice and very heavy for portables.

at the moment I have the excellent baby Sony ICF SW 100S, Sony ICF7600A and the ICF 2010 - and only 2 ears.

I had one of the last made models bought it in Sembawang  Singapore and had it stolen from my car while moving office 2 weeks later, I already had a Sony 2000 but when I saw the Zenith tucked away at the back of the shop it couldn't resist buying it not having seen one for years
