[BITList] the 2 pipe mystery

  Hi ct
well the the pipe thread is tapered and only engages tightly at the end
of its makeup so only needs a little disengagement to be completely free
to drop free of the one its connected to and there would be a set of
pipe rams in the BOP which wouldn't allow it though to the open hole,
another way might have been that they were getting ready to set a triple
back as the well blew out the pipe in the hole would have lifted the
slips clear of the rotary table and the joint that was being set back
was let go by the derrickman and it found its way back down the well
which seems feasible to me assuming that they were in the process of
pulling the drill string out of the hole
