[BITList] no ceylon

not I, sir

don't recall anyone mentioning ceylon radio - and we all had huge philips, 
grundig and telefunken radios, all with every radio band you can think of.
I eventually graduated to the valve driven eddystone steel cabinet S.W. 
radio, made in Birmingham; I think they finally gave up the valve radios 
around the beginning of the 70's.

I remember "Voice of America" and their "Jazz Hour USA", and let us not 
forget the VOA news in Special English.
also american forces radio - tachikawa, iwakuni, sasebo, wakanai, misawa, 
itazuki - no ceylon radio for 
us.....................................................!
