well, I checked google earth before I said, “eh” – buy nothing was forth coming.

I will try south shetland islands.

no my google earth doesn’t have a south shetland island/s – only south shetland trough!

although there are a number of islands to the south of the trough...............................maybe uninhabited!

bloody silly place for a cruise ship.

You'll have noticed I didn't notice the Shetlands reference.  Possibly the reference to Antarctica confused me.  It now occurs to me to ask if there are really such islands in the Antarctic.  And there are - the South Shetland Islands (thanks to Google).  A wee bit south of the North ones, involving a longish boat trip.  Probably not much intermarriage between the populations.
