One of our Perth radio stations rang a hotel in Qatar this morning ostensibly to make an executive suite booking for the World Cup.  Was told that it was a good idea to book early .

Also informed by the pleasantly spoken Phillipino receptionist that there was no liquor on the premises but thought there may be other licensed hotels.

A World Cup without beer !
