you probably know the location is dunsford aerodrome in surrey.

the 747 can be seen via google earth.

I'm cross eyed looking at top gear testing on youtube, but non of the clips I looked at show the 747 clearly enough to show what you are asking.

I am in no way a fan of Jeremy Clarkson and his spendthrift ways, but I've noticed in the
background to his many "pranks", a Boeing 747 sitting idly.
                                                     
      This appears to have its four seperate engines replaced by two twin-pod units.

Does anybody know the "whys and wherefores" for this modification ?
