Not so. You have been watching too many of Howard's movies and the like.

There were more Sgt, Flt.Sgts and W.O. pilots than the POs, FOs, Flt.Lt and SqnLdrs around in the RAF.

Try to get this one out of your local Library. It should be there. "Men of the Battle of Britain" by Kenneth Wynne.

And then try to get this new book a well, an excellent read..."Finding the Few" by Andy Saunders.
