It's a strange world we live in.  Diageo, as some may know, own a large slice of the Scotch Whisky trade, and recently they announced plans to get rid of the Kilmarnock plant that has produced Johnny Walker for a century and more, and 700 jobs with it.  This did not meet with universal approbation, and now they are on the defensive. In today's Sunday Herald I read, "Paul Walsh, Diageo's chief executive, is due to fly to China this week to discuss the Scotch whisky industry with government ministers."

What have I missed?
