I hope that you phone or write to complain when a TV station calls an  
aircraft a 'plane' or a ship a 'boat'?

I can never get my head around the term 'fighter jet' - what do they  
call a propellor driven aircraft?

I do recall that the Bristol 'Britannia' was always called a 'prop- 
jet' by the media.
