clearly the italians have no idea how to run a judicial system.

it's really unfair - didn't the court realise this was no ordinary european young woman?

Amanda, she is AMERICAN - and her parents are going to appeal to the US State Department, so there, take that.

Colin,

Intense media attention about sums it up.  Did they do it?  I haven't a clue.  One abiding memory of it is of the BBC man outside the courtroom, commenting on (I assume) the Italian style of trial.  "Of course," he said, drawing on all his 2 or 3 years of experience, "in Britain we have twelve in a jury." How do they get on air?
