Fujiyama (Mount Fuji) would have been on your port side, maybe memory is playing tricks. I remember sailing from Yokokama one time bound for Australia as the sun was setting behind Fuji. There were only two colours, a blazing red sky and the black of Fuji, a magnificent sight.
