When I left the army in 1970, I thought I had fought my last fight, but 34 years later it turned out there was one more battle to fight - on behalf of 35,000 men and women who had served Malaysia in the 50's and 60's. The fight started in 2004 and ended 7 years later in 2011 on this day, the 3rd November.

I was not alone leading that fight - I was but a part of a team who are named and framed on parade on page 2 of this PDF - including my friend John Feltham <https://www.facebook.com/n/?john.feltham.3&aref=1541236454012961&medium=email&mid=579bec9c5354fG1df3f158G579bf135b3821G52&bcode=2.1541236454.AbwtshzhhpHWfiS3Wl0&n_m=wantok%40me.com> in Oz.

In 2016, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the end of Confrontation in Malaysia - a struggle in which we had taken part - was asked to write about the Fight4thePJM.
