G'day Folks,
I was just about to blow my top, at the over-done pronunciation by ABC TV News readers who incorrectly use ‘thee’ for 'the’ and ‘aay' for ‘a’ - so I went to see what Mr Google could find.
This was the first one to pop up.
To my query. "
From, of all people, the ABC itself.

I can find no pleasure at all in the misuse and over use, of the word ‘thee’ - 'thee' being used for the correct word, ‘the’.
The same goes for aay and a.

And of course the word that has taken over the English language in Australia - ‘regular’ for ‘normal'.
I do like to say that I get regular, when I have stewed prunes for breakfast. But, it is not normal for me to eat prunes for breakfast.
