The late Fred Waddington sailed on that vessel, though not at that point.  At the time I wrote to a national newspaper that the bow door securely shut is in fact the collision bulkhead, with all that entails regarding classification rules, and without which firmly in place a Ro-Ro vessel is unseaworthy. A conventional vessel with no collision bulkhead would not have been launched.
