Mark Lowcock — the £165,000-a-year head of the Department for International Development — has been knighted by HM The Queen in the New Years Honours List..

He actually received two titles, the other title being,  Sir Waste a Lot, following his disastrous scheme to build an unusable £285 million airport on a remote island.
