Mike,

When did RN crew start to determine where RN vessels sail to or from?  I don't think MN crews ever had that right. Try as I might, I cannot recall a single instance of us having a vote on the subject on Chakdara, Chilka, Nowshera, Chinkoa, Dilwara, Clan Maclean, Clan Maclaren or Morar.  Nor, as a passenger on PS Waverley, was I ever asked where I wanted to go next. It's a curious world we live in now.
