The answer to the enquiry from Brian Gibbons (23/04/16) is that Welshman James Evans is still playing regularly with The Shotgun Jazz Band, though he was elsewhere on the day of the video I put up. On another day, he gave a sensational performance of Bye Bye Blues, together with the brilliant young Chloe Feoranzo. I saw and heard James Evans about 15 years ago in Liverpool, he was playing with a London Jazz Band called the Cotton Club, despite his youth he was very good.  After that he used to turn up at the Abersoch Jazz Festival.  About 4/5 years ago he went into experimental Jazz, producing funny sounds from various wind instruments.  Then he disappeared and turned up playing in N.O. with the Tuba Skinny, he must have returned to New Orleans Jazz as he seems to be playing over there.
