Saw an article last month in the Daily Mail about a proposal to rehome Syrian refugees "on" the Outer Hebrides, "Britain's most remote outpost, 40 miles from the British mainland" and, they hasten to make clear, "700 miles from London" - on another planet, nearly.  It's a new island, the Outer Hebrides, known only to the Daily Mail but it should suit them fine, what with the sheep, etc, and the wild haggis.
