At least the Crew won’t have to holystone the new decks !

Whilst sailing in Denholms I served on a new Bulker. Someone had the bright idea of securing the small amount of wood sheathing on the Bridge Deck with Hilti Nails. Result - as soon as the ship worked, water was able to get underneath !

When I was working up at Cape Lambert up in the Pilbara some ;pony was given the job of fixing a Safety Notice to a wall- He used a Hilti gun and the boy narrowly missed a worker and went through a IBM typewriter!

On the other hand.

I was given the job of fixing a Nuclear Device Warning sign on a the walls of a crusher in the same site.

After three shots of hot get the sun fixed I was wondering why the gun didn’t work. It was then that I realised that walls of this crusher were made of extremely hard wearing steel plate.

The gun was gone odd and throwing me back on my heels. And not a dent in the steel!

Idjut.
