I worked shift work for long periods during my working life.  

The start of it was the 4 hrs on 4 hours off with BI while traveling through the Inland Sea of Japan.

The only time that I have gone to sleep standing up!

When you're retired, every day is a long weekend, but you don't get any public holidays!

The pay is terrible.
