John, Like Herbert Jansch, I bought a Hofner cello (blonde cutaway) guitar, though mine was a couple of years earlier, in 1958 (I've still got the receipt). I studied for my 2nd's ticket on £6 a month study leave pay, and the back money I was sent when I got the certificate went towards that instrument. Near £19 it cost. I've still got it. Hugh.
