Mike,

I'll try the Guardian website after I sort out some photos.  On storms and power lines down, etc, elder daughter tells us roof damage and broken windows on Greenock's upper slopes, her street having been spared.  At 450 feet, we're near as high up as she is, but any other damage I've heard/read of is to garden huts and trees, and part of a hospital roof got blown away. Two small empty plastic plant pots were blown across our back garden - last year it was our watering can (empty). No power outages, so can't complain.
