These bears are now a “must have” item in China, to the extant that the Chinese are now manufacturing fake "Bobbie bears".

To counter thins stealing of “intellectual property” the Tassie company has now introduced a web site where you can ‘validate’ the ID of the bear that you have bought!

If someone tries to validate one that isn’t a true Tassie Bear, they will be told that they a have a fake bear!
