How far down the list did the Aussie get before the nut case stuck the knife in him?  I guess the American cop ran out of ammunition.  The Canadian had the right idea. The one in Glasgow doesn''t sound all that Glaswegian - knifie? reet? backside? (arse is more idiomatic) - but full marks to him for bluff.
