The historical ANZAC centenary march, reinforces the absolute belief that our defence fraternity, wherever they may be is unique in its brotherhood culture, camaraderie and high ideals. 

Not many people know that the Indian Army took part in World War I at Gallipoli notably the Sikh and Gurkha battalions.

The 1915 Gallipoli sacrifices of the gallant troops of the 29 Indian Infantry Brigade, 7 Indian Mountain Artillery Brigade and attached sub-units are acknowledged and honoured in Australia by our taking part in the march. 

It was a humbling occasion - I am sure all of us share that sentiment.
