THIS IS OF INTEREST ,SELF AND FAMILY PASSED THROUGH KL LAST WEEK FOR ME AFTER AN ABSENCE OF 14 YEARS  , THERE WAS AN ARTICLE IN THE PAPER CALLING FOR A BAN OF XMAS , AS IT WAS CONSIDERD JEWISH AND UNISLAMIC ?? I DID NOTICE THAT MORE WOMEN THAN BEFORE WORE HEADSCARVES AND HABIB , THE MEN ALSO ADOPTING ISLAMIC DRESS AND MORE BEARDS IN SIGHT , THIS OF COURSE  WITH THE ETHNIC MALAYS THAN CHINESE AND OTHER RACES , I HAVE BEEN TRAVELLING INTO MALAYA SINCE THE 50S ..
 
VERY SAD TO SEE THE WAY THINGS ARE GOING , OPINE MALAYSIA NOT AN ATTRACTIVE PLACE FOR FOREIGNERS TO RETIRE TOO AS SOME HAVE !!

Hi John, I thought that you might like to read this brilliant article on the true situation of inter religious problems assailing Malaysia right now. The author nails it right through the heart, absolutely spot on! And has the guts to say it out loud. Khuddus to her. The name used is a pseudonym but I suspect it is either the Sultana of Johore or Marina Mahathir, both highly educated women and both educated in the UK & the US, both having read journalism in Uni.
My suspicion leans towards Marina Mahathir because a photograph of her was splashed across the New Strait's Time front page yesterday, standing with a group of Malay woman beside a Catholic priest outside a Catholic church, showing support for the Christians and trying to prevent any protestors from demonstrating outside the church. 

The Sultana of Johor would not have been so daring physically or in person, she would have her say from behind the safety of the palace walls. Marina on the other hand, is a very 'in your face' sort of person and is not afraid of speaking her mind or joing an anti establishment protest or demonstration, regardless of what her father might think. She has even been known to stand up to her father on occasion, in public :-) 

I don't know who the author is, but whoever it is, she's brilliant and understand exactly what the problem is in this country and is not afraid to point it out publicly.
