Mike,

They don't fight wars any more - WW2 was a war - Iraq and all the rest are just the results of the UK's mistaken belief in its God given role as best pal of the USA. Regardless of that, some of the phraseology used in the study is grossly insulting. It reminds me of what General Wolfe said of the Scots soldiers under his command at the Heights of Abraham.  More or less it was, "Send them in first - no great mischief if they fall." And at Utah beach, during the Normandy landings, young and inexperienced American soldiers were sent ashore first to take the brunt - easier replaced than the others.
