[BITList] Ugh!

This was suggested to me at a local bar for lunch - fried chicken and waffles with faux cream and syrup. Fried chicken is common enough here and so are waffles, but I've never seen them together for lunch. When I mentioned they seem to be a peculiar combo I was told it is quite common in the Nola area. I've never seen it before.
FYI -- it's bloody awful for breakfast and lunch.
Anyone come across this combo anywhere else in the world?
