John,

I read somewhere that the items stolen/hacked/whatever were "floor plans",
whatever these are. The word "plan" is as often misused as the words
"blueprint" and "formula", eg, "they were caught by Border Security while
attempting to smuggle the stolen plans/blueprints/formula for the nuclear
submarine onto the plane in a briefcase". The technical details - drawings,
specs, etc, and associated paperwork - for a nuclear submarine might,
just might, go into a small hall stacked to the roof .

A "plan" is something I intend to do, thought out in advance. A "plan view"
in or on a drawing is a view looking downwards. Plans, sections, elevations
and scrap views make up the whole.

Hugh.
